CFP: Early Modern Scholarship and Science. A Multidisciplinary Approach (ed. Vittoria Feola)

We are delighted to announce our call for papers for publication of a book including 20 re-worked papers from Scientiae 2014 to be edited by Vittoria Feola. Given the multidisciplinary nature of Scientiae, submission of abstracts is encouraged on the history of early modern scholarship, including legal and political history, as well as all branches of the history of science. Articles may contain pictures.
Work schedule is as follows:
Deadline for abstracts: 15 July 2014
Notification of acceptance/rejection: 15 August 2014
Articles due: 15 December 2014
Referees’ reports to authors by: 15 June 2015
Final submission of the book to Brill: 15 July 2015
Publication: December 2015
A total of 20 abstracts will be selected and, subject to the editor’s judgement in accordance with blind peer-reviewing, will be published. Non-native English speaking authors must have their abstracts and articles professionally proofread prior to their submission. In other words, Vittoria Feola will not check the English of abstracts and articles, because she, as volume editor, is only responsible for the scientific content of the volume. Abstracts for selection must be maximum of 400 words.
Articles must be max. 8,000 words including footnotes, and may not exceed a total of 20 pages including pictures. One page is made up of 400 words (footnotes included). One picture counts as one page. Authors must pay for copyright and reproduction rights when applicable.
